Sewing/Quilting Class Nov 15

Join us for a sewing and quilting class! In this class, you’ll learn sewing basics, which you can use at home for quick fixes, as well as to make useful objects.

Some of the skills you’ll learn over the series may include:

• How to read a pattern
• Fabric basics – selvedge, grain, and nap
• What is a seam allowance and why is it important
• Stitch types and uses
• How to thread and use a sewing machine
• Basic construction techniques
• Zipper insertion
• and more!

Class includes materials and instruction. Veterans are always free! Civilians are welcome for a small fee, paid onsite. $35 covers materials and goes towards supporting the program for civilian attendees.
